“Temptation”

“Every night in my dreams,
I see you, I feel you, that is how I—”, suddenly the music stopped. A gentle, cool breeze rendered some energy. It made him feel fresh. He took out a photo from his pocket and a smile oozed out. His little son and his wife.

It was the month of December.
Generally, no one visits a river bank at 10 o’clock at night for some cool breeze by that time of year.
He was about to commit something. A dangerous act. Something really bad.
Tears rolled down his cheeks. A thousand memories flashed through his mind. He was about to loosen his hold from everything, and go all the way.
Psychologically disturbed, frustrated. Depressed.
Worried.
He jumped.
He jumped into the icy cold water. He thought how much his family meant to him. He loved his wife a lot, and his son too.
Small family, happy family. But, there was something which pushed him to this situation. There was something which made him do this act. An act of a coward. He was having an extramarital relationship.
He did not love that lady.
Lust for sure.
The devil tempted him.
Lost in the mists of time.
